OROTONE Journal is hiring 1-2 interns! We're seeking driven, curious, and creative individuals who are excited to forward OROTONE Journal's vision of cross-disciplinary art and poetics. Internships are 12-week long, remote, and volunteer-only. You must have consistent Internet access to communicate with the staff team over Discord and Google Meets. Previous experience is not necessary, but preferred. Applicants of all ages and countries may apply. Upon successful completion of the internship program, you may be offered, albeit not guaranteed, a permanent position at OROTONE Journal.

Social Media Intern
- Write, schedule, and post daily updates on Twitter and Instagram
- Curate artist and writer features (in partnership with the Blog Editor)
- Reshare publications, achievements, etc. from contributors
- Engage with the OROTONE Journal community and peer publications
- Assist with email marketing and soliciting submissions
Additional materials: Write five tweets, pitch one artist/writer feature, and outline a potential social media marketing campaign.
Content Intern
- Develop content for OROTONE! (our newsletter and blog)
- This can include creative nonfiction essays, playlists, film/music reviews, cultural criticism, etc.
- Write a monthly column on a topic of your choice, related to art or poetry
- Interview 2-4 visual artists, musicians, and/or writers a month
- Review chapbooks, poetry collections, and ARCs
- Work with the Blog Editor to create a blogging schedule
Additional materials: Pitch three blog posts, attach a relevant writing sample, and draft ten interview questions for an artist/writer of your choice.
