We are OPEN for submissions until MARCH 31st, 2022.

Submit up to five poems of any length.

Every poem must respond to a work of art — whatever art might mean to you. This includes visual art, films/TV shows, music, plays, photography, comics, video games, etc. Send us your best!

Please send all submissions to [email protected] in a Word .doc/.docx or PDF file. In your email, include a cover letter with a brief third-person biography AND the work(s) of art you are responding to.

Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but kindly inform us if your work has been accepted elsewhere. Please only send work written predominantly in English, or poems translated to English. We do not accept previously published work (i.e. social media, personal blogs, etc.)

Upon acceptance, OROTONE Journal receives electronic First North American Serial Rights. All rights revert back to the contributor after publication. We ask that you credit OROTONE Journal in future reprints.

You can expect a turnaround time of 1-2 weeks. Please inquire at [email protected] if you have not received a response after 4 weeks. We publish on a bi-monthly schedule.

We regret that we cannot compensate writers at this time.
