Tariq Thompson is a Black poet from Memphis, Tennessee. He currently resides in Philadelphia as a teaching artist. He has been published in The American Poetry Review, wildness, Sixth Finch, the Academy of American Poets, and the Adroit Journal, where he received the 2020 Adroit Prize for Poetry.
